Italy is the European Football Champion, a sport that was already very popular in Tuscany during the Renaissance and is still practised in Florence as "Calcio Storico". We congratulate and recommend a visit to the four LeadingCampings in the country of the champions! Crossing the border is easy, the three rules apply (vaccinated, recovered or tested) and the campsites are now very experienced in dealing with hygiene rules. Of course, this does not only apply to Italy. Our quality manager Hannes Kiessling has tried it out and can confirm it: He spent half of June and July on the road, travelling with the quality van from Scandinavia to Italy. At none of the visited LeadingCampings he found anything wrong with the Covid-19 rules, and the border crossings were all easy according to circumstances. The picture here shows our Malibu T 430 at Piani di Clodia in the country of the European football champions. In any case, we are looking forward to finally being able to welcoming and treat you again at all 36 Leading locations in 11 European countries.
Welcome in the LeadingClub! Each month there is a lucky winner of a "feel good camping week" at a different campsite amongst the club members. Facebook live with PiNCAMP
On July 14th at 6:00 pm, an interview with LeadingCampings managing director Eicke Schüürmann was broadcasted via StreamYard. The half hour was streamed live on the PiNCAMP Facebook page and can still be watched at all PiNCAMP channels. Winnie Vorsatz of the PiNCAMP team had already collected some questions of the camper community in advance. Others spontaneously enriched the conversation with chat questions. The PiNCAMP users wanted to know, what LeadingCampings is, where and how to find LeadingCampings and what distinguishes the campsites. How have campsites experienced the Covid-19 crisis so far? Was the lockdown period used for renovations or investments? What hygiene measures are currently being taken at the campsites? Is it necessary to book or can holidaymakers also arrive spontaneously at the campsite? What is the current demand? Are there flexible booking models / insurance policies that reimburse the holidaymaker in the event of a Covid-19 illness or renewed border closures? The most difficult question: which destination is currently recommended. More information: www.facebook.com/pincamp.de/
O sole mio
In rainy Northern Europe the word ‘solarium’ is associated with tanning salons, where you can get an artificial tan from fluorescent tubes. However, in Southern Europe, a solarium is nothing more than an open-air terrace for sunbathing, under real sun rays. Barco Reale is now offering such a sun terrace for the guests of the panorama pool. There is a very special Barco Reale style, that combines a high level of comfort with the rustic charm of natural materials. This is exactly the style of the new solarium: logs as they have grown, i.e., sometimes crooked, natural planks, a cotton net on the railing and coarse natural stones make up the completely unspoilt character of this comfort zone. Above the hustle and bustle of the pool, you can relax peacefully, enjoy the unique view over the Arno Valley and choose between sun and shade. The shade comes either from the trees or from the sunshades that flank the sunbeds set up there for the guests. More information: www.barcoreale.com

Important for visitors: Tickets can only be booked online at www.caravan-salon.de, as in 2020, no box office will be open. Only visitors, who have been vaccinated, tested, or have recovered, will be admitted.
Racing bike & Camping
It is not a new insight that cycling, and camping complement each other. High-performance cycling and camping are somewhat rarer. But when the cycling event of the year takes place directly in front of a LeadingCamping, it is a rarity. That happened on July 8th, 2021, when the 12th stage of this year's Tour de France (stage from Saint-Paul-Trois Chateaux to Nîmes) literally passed in front of the entrance to Camping Nature Parc l'Ardéchois in Vallon Pont d'Arc on the banks of the Ardèche. In this case, the yellow jersey belongs to the team around owner Richard Chalvet and director Hanneke Vorstermans, who were able to offer their guests a unique spectacle on the roadside of the nature campsite. Usually, the campsite faces the river, well shielded from the Ardèche shore road. This time, however, the attraction of the cyclists was greater than the usual image of the Ardèche being navigated by canoes. More information: www.ardechois-camping.com
