Exemption declaration pursuant to Section 3 (3) BFSG
LeadingCampings of Europe e.V. hereby declares that the association is considered a micro-enterprise within the meaning of Section 3 (3) of the Barrier-Free Accessibility Act (BFSG) and is therefore exempt from the digital accessibility requirements pursuant to the BFSG.
In accordance with Recommendation 2003/361/EC of the European Commission, LeadingCampings meets the following criteria for micro-enterprises:
• Employs fewer than 10 full-time equivalents
• Annual turnover and annual balance sheet total of less than 2 million euros
Regardless of the legal exemption, the aim is to gradually improve the digital offerings in terms of user-friendliness and accessibility. This includes measures to improve readability, navigation and accessibility in accordance with proven web standards.
This statement applies until further notice, as long as the legal thresholds for micro-enterprises are not exceeded.

The measures recommended there are now being implemented with a focus on the following areas:
- Alt texts for images
- Clear navigation & contrasts
- Keyboard operability
- Accessible PDFs
- Readable forms and buttons
In the first step, alt texts for images were adapted; 600 images in all 7 languages have already been edited. Further editing is ongoing. Further steps and measures will be documented continuously in this statement.
