A long weekend is just around the corner and the vast majority of LeadingCampings are looking forward to your visit. What's up, what's down? Here you can keep an overview:
Countries and borders
Travelling in your own country is possible in all European countries where LeadingCampings exist. International travel, i.e. travel involving crossing borders, will be possible again from 15 June, with a few exceptions. Until then you can already travel from Germany to Denmark if you have a booking confirmation with you and stay in the country for at least 6 nights. However, Danes themselves are still strictly advised against travelling abroad. Travel to and from Germany to and from the BeNeLux states is possible. The border between Germany and Austria can also be crossed without controls. Austria also allows transit to and from Croatia if a booking confirmation can be presented. Transit through Austria and also Slovenia should be done directly without any stopover until the travel restrictions are lifted on 15 June. The same applies to the border between Austria and Italy. Tourist travel to France - and thus overland travel to Spain and Portugal - is not permitted before 15 June, the cut-off date for lifting travel warnings in core Europe. However, there will be a few so-called "red zones" in France, where extensive travel restrictions will continue to apply. These include first and foremost the Paris/Île de France conurbation. Red zones have comparatively intensive infection levels. However, all French LeadingCampings are located in "green zones" with a better infection balance. The tail light in Europe remains Norway, whose borders will not be opened until 20 August according to current information. In addition, some countries still impose a quarantine obligation on returnees for re-entry from Sweden - which is a possible transit country for a trip to Norway.
LeadingCampings in the individual countries
99% of LeadingCampings are currently open or are about to open again. Details will follow below. In general, travellers urgently need to familiarise themselves with the official regulations and restrictions in the respective countries. These vary, but mainly concern rules for common areas such as sanitary facilities, restaurants, sports and wellness. Here, as in the area of animation, reduced offers must be expected. Wearing mouth and nose covers is one of these regulations in most places in communal areas. However, there is a clear trend towards week after week of more and more relaxation and thus an ever-increasing range of offers. While in most countries the sanitary facilities can be used without restriction or only in relation to the number of guests present at any one time, the Netherlands is particularly strict here and will only return to normal operation on 15 June. At the moment, only family bathrooms, rental bathrooms or self-sufficient campers are permitted, but some campsites have set up temporary sanitary facilities for individual use. Please enquire about the specific situation at the destination campsite before you start your trip.
All LeadingCampings in Germany are open. There are different requirements depending on the federal state - including restrictions on maximum occupancy. All LeadingCampings in Austria are open. All LeadingCampings in Denmark are open. All LeadingCampings in the Netherlands and Luxembourg are open. All LeadingCampings in Croatia are open. In Italy Union Lido is open, Caravan Park Sesto will follow on 12 June, Piani di Clodia on 18 June. Only Barco Reale does not open until 4 July. In France Nature Parc L'Ardechois and L'Anse du Brick are already open, Sylvamar will follow on 12 June, Le Brasilia on 13 June and L'Océan Breton on 19 June. In Spain, La Marina is already open, Playa Montroig will follow on 12 June. Turiscampo in Portugal is open. Hallingdal Feriepark in Norway is open, but will remain open beyond 15 June for the time being only for domestic guests.
