Autumn vacations have started in Germany. However, it is full as in the summer high season on some LeadingCampins despite cooler temperatures. Thanks for your loyalty! Indeed, this does not apply for all campsites, which are still open. Constantly new risk areas are identified, even accommodation bans for guests from certain regions and countries - this leads to maximum uncertainty. If you are heading for a destination, that is considered safe today, maybe has been declared a risk area in the meantime. We very much believe that a change of scenery will be beneficial for you in autumn and winter. Therefore, we would like to see a better coordinated approach by politicians and a greater consideration of the actual local conditions: infection rates are mostly rising in built-up areas and hardly in secluded natural locations, which are typical for campsites. On the part of LeadingCampings we do everything to make your vacation as safe and low-risk as possible. Our hygiene concepts work, as it has been proven by this summer main season, where not a single hotspot was created at a LeadingCamping. We are looking forward to you happy and healthy in 11 European countries. Picture: gopostore.com | |

| Changes in 2021 After 19 years of membership, Camping Tempelhof in Callantsoog in North Holland is leaving us. The owners want to change their marketing strategy in the future. We thank the family van Muijen for almost two decades with us and wish them all the best for the future after such a long time together. The same is true for the Alfsee Holiday Park in the Osnabrücker Land in Germany. The Alfsee joined the LeadingCampings in 2005 and we are grateful, that it has enriched the group with the spectacular Alfen-Saunaland and the unique ‘Germanenland’. After 15 years together, it is especially hard for us to say goodbye. Have a good trip, Alfsee! Due to the Covid-19 crisis, the Croatian Valamar group lost some income and decided to economise the LeadingCampings membership fees. Valamar is withdrawing its two campsites Lanterna Premium Camping Resort and Krk Premium Camping Resort from the LeadingCampings, which we deeply regret. Lanterna came to the Leadings in 2012. Krk came in 2015 and was the first campsite of the group upgraded to Premium Camping Resort. We appreciated the years spent together and wish all the best for the future. We are especially happy, that the LeadingCampings will also get two new members despite the Covid-19 problems. In the coming newsletters we will gladly inform you on the new members. |

| Thank you, LMC In 2015, the LeadingCampings hired a quality manager, who was obliged to visit all campsites. Therefore, he needed a company car. LMC provided an integrated Explorer camper. Hannes Kiessling drove about 15.000 km per year and supported LeadingCamping entrepreneurs, assessed candidates and visited interested parties. He drove it to trade fairs and sporting events, in short, the strikingly foiled vehicle was clearly visible in the streets and on campsites. Both sides appreciated the cooperation so much, that after three years the camper was replaced by a semi-integrated cruiser model - again from LMC. Now, after a total of six years without accidents or breakdowns - both in terms of vehicle and body technology - it is time to wave good-bye to the LMC Cruiser, which is now decommissioned. It has recently returned to the plant.in Sassenberg. There is really no other reason for ending the collaboration than that LeadingCampings never want to get focused too much and for too long on one manufacturer. We want to stay independent and we are of course open to all our guests with vehicles of all brands. Stay tune for the news of the follow-up vehicle. | |
| EU Ecolabel As one of the first campsites in Germany, Camping- und Ferienpark Wulfener Hals, which is situated on the Baltic Sea island Fehmarn, has been awarded with the coveted EU Ecolabel. The EU Commissioner for environment, Virginijus Sinkevičius (on the picture right) personally presented the label in Berlin. ‘The prize emphasizes our longstanding commitment for camping in close communion with nature’, explains Malte Riechey. managing director of the Wulfener Hals (on the picture left). ‘Our sustainability management is existing for many years – we are EMAS-certified and for more than 15 years we are committed to the international ECOCAMPING network’. Wulfener Hals has been analysing its environmental effects for more than 20 years and measures its material flows, energy requirements, waste, water and much more. Recently, the energy supply has been completely rebuilt. A heating system with several block heat and power plants supplies the whole site via a local heating network and generates electricity. With its integrated water cycle concept of pumping, treatment in its own waterworks with reverse osmosis, a fully biological sewage treatment plant, UV disinfection and subsequent rainfall on the golf course. The campsite already won the EU EMAS Award and the ADAC Environmental Innovation Award several years ago. Congratulations. More information: www.wulfenerhals.de | |
| Camping on stage ‘The shooting stars of the Canadian artistic scene’: this is the name Radio Canada has given to the wild troupe, who made camping ready for the stage. Director of the show is Geneviève Kérouac. Hugues Bernatchez and Geneviève Tremblay designed the minimalist stage for the two shrink-caravans, some artificial grass, and all kinds of camping chairs. The costumes of Huguette Lauzé are one thing above all else: typical artist's costumes with circus glitter and deep necklines. Instead, we encounter artists, who look frighteningly like real campers in a sloppy and casual look, a little retro perhaps. There is dancing on the caravan roof in this dynamic show, juggling with badminton bats, acrobatics shown on stacked folding chairs. Yes, it is played with clichés, but above all, it is performed by a world-class artistic ensemble. The result is a sensationally cheerful, subtle entertainment cocktail with an extra colourful umbrella. ‘Camping - Holidays from Winter’ will be performed at the GOP-Varieté in Münster until January 10th, 2021. The ‘GOP-Varieté’ is located near the train station and can therefore be easily reached by train. Nearest LeadingCampings are De Papillon and Alfsee Ferienpark. Tickets cost between 36 and 44 €. You find the hall plan and performance schedule as well as the ticket store at www.variete.de . The co-production by Théâtre à Tempo and GOP showconcept lasts around 90 minutes without break.
